Objective

The objective of the “Walking Stick for Visually Impaired” project is to develop a compact and portable assistive device to aid visually impaired individuals in navigation and mobility.

The primary focus of this project is to create a walking stick that is of a short size, ensuring it is easy to carry and use in various situations

Working Process

You’ll need a sturdy stick or rod, typically made of materials like wood, aluminum, or carbon fiber. Other materials include a handle, rubber tip, and optional accessories like a wrist strap or tactile markings.

The handle should be comfortable to grip. Some designs include ergonomic grips or molded shapes. Consider adding texture or patterns to help with grip and orientation.

Tactile markings on the stick can convey information. For example, you can add rings or bumps to indicate distances or obstacles. These should be consistent and easy to feel.

The tip of the stick should have a rubber or non-slip cap to provide traction and cushioning on the ground.

If possible, make the stick’s length adjustable so users can set it to a comfortable height.

A wrist strap can help users keep the stick within reach if they drop it.

Ensure the stick is properly balanced, not too heavy, and easy to use. Testing with visually impaired individuals is crucial to making adjustments.

If desired, you can incorporate additional features like a built-in sensor that detects obstacles or an audio module for navigation assistance.

·        The sensor and RFID readers communicated with each other to sending  collected  data.

·         IOT platforms receives a data and process it .this can involve checking the environmental conditions

·         Based on the collected data and RFID information ,this system can generate the alerts . suppose the soil moisture drop below  a certain point. the system may trigger and irrigation to the system.

·        Farmers can access the data and control a system remotely using any devices like smart phones ,laptop, tablets and computers.
