THERMO ELECTRIC
ENERGY BASED WIND MILL RUNNING SYSTEM
OBJECTIVE
·
This project is to convert heat
directly into electricity using the seebeck effect harnessing temperature
difference between two materials. Tis is aim to generate sustainable and
efficient power from waste heat ,
industrial process or renewable sources.
APPARATUS
REQUIRED
·
5V DC motor wind mill setup
·
Thermoelectric sensor
·
Heat source(candle)
·
Cool source (ice cubes)
·
Steel plates
WORKING PROCESS
·
Heat source: a heat source ,such as the candle provides the
high temperature side
·
Cool source : a cool source ,such as the ice cubes provides
the cooling side
·
Voltage generation: the temperature gradient causes electrons
to flow from the hot side to cold side ,generating a voltage difference due to
the seebeck effect
·
Electrical output: the voltage generated is collected through
metal contacts on the hot and cold sides of TEM.
·
Heat dissipation: the cooling system on the cold side of the
TEM helps maintain the temperature difference and preventing overheating
·
Power conversion: to use the generated electricity an
inverter may be used to convert the DC
output into alternating current suitable for powering devices.
ADVANTAGES
·
Its offer several advantages such as generating electricity
from heat and being environmentally minimal maintenance ,and having potential
application in remote or space constrained areas
DISADVANTAGES
·
Low efficiency compared to other energy sources
·
High initial costs and limited scalability
